Position Objective:  

The Registered Migration Agent (RMA) is responsible for providing immigration advice to all types of temporary visa holders in Australia. The incumbent is up to date with current migration laws and procedures and helps our clients navigate the complex world of visa applications. An RMA essentially provides information and advice to potential migrants, prepares and lodges visa applications and acts as an intermediary to legally represent clients during visa processing and before review bodies. 

 

Roles/Responsibilities: 

• Understand a client’s visa history, current requirement and offer the right solutions and support accordingly 

• Be responsible for reviewing the information and documents provided by the client and ensure it is accurate and in line

with the legal requirements 

• Be well-versed with the organisation’s visa fee structure and prepare correct and fair quotes when requested by the client 

• Evaluate immigration cases objectively and honestly as well as convey and explain the information in a comprehensible/logical

manner, ensuring that the client has a clear picture of their case and further plan of action 

• Be accountable for all visa issues and operations in the business and remain up to date with any changes to legislation 

• Create and maintain accurate client information such as enquiry notes, file notes, fees and follow-ups in the organization's CRM system 

• Build a strong referral pipeline and increase client retention by ensuring good after sale service engagement and encouraging

service feedback via Google Reviews and social media reviews such as Facebook 

• Publish client success stories with the help of video testimonials, photographs and social media posts 

• Maintain integrity, ethics and honesty and ensure compliance with the stipulated rules to preserve the integrity of the profession

and the governing/regulatory body

• Ability to be innovative and creative in finding the best possible solution when dealing with complex cases to find  

• Ability to work in a collaborative team but also autonomously to meet tight deadlines and manage conflicting priorities

and client expectations

Skills & Experience  

Qualifications: 

• Graduate in Migration law (essential) 

Experience:  

• A minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Registered Migration Agent 

Skills:  

• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) and Adobe skills 

• Highly organized with strong attention to detail 

• Excellent grasp and ability to navigate LEGEND 

• Excellent counselling skills including the ability to build rapport and make the client feel heard
